Purity of ingredients

Full ingredients list: vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), vitamin B3 (niacinamide), azelaic acid, oat extact, hyaluronic acid, guar gum, retinaldehyde.

Retinaldehyde 0.4%: Potent form of Vitamin A, retinaldehyde is a precursor to retinoic acid, which means it converts more directly into the active form used by skin cells compared to retinol. This makes it more effective and faster-acting than retinol, with fewer side effects such as irritation and dryness.

Azelaic acid 10%: It has been shown to reduce redness, fight breakouts (inflammed or congested skin), be one of the worls's best skin brighteners. Plus it is now researched for its antioxidant properties to protect against free radicals, promoting overall skin health and radiance.

Vitamin B3: Also known as niacinamide , this active has been extensively researched for its ability to minimize enlarged pores, reduce breaks outs, improve uneven skin tone, and strengthen a weakened skin barrier.

Oat extract: Rich in antioxidants, its moisturizing qualities hydrate and nourish the skin. Oat extract's calming effects make it ideal for sensitive skin, promoting a healthy complexion.

Vitamin B5: This vitamin has the ability to boost skin hydration and is researched for its anti-acne properties.

Hyaluronic acid: Powerful humectant. It draws water and helps lock in moisture in skin. With a molecular weight of 847 g/mol, it sits on top of dermal layers to create a “moisture lock”.

Guar Gum: Powerful humectant too. It complements hyaluronic acid as it helps provide additional nourishment to skin.

Do you have any questions?

  1. 1.When should I use?

Use the Retinal Azelaic Powder Serum twice a day after cleansing and before moisturizing. For the first 3 days, only use once a day at night. If your skin feels great and there is no sign of sensitivity, increase to twice daily.
  2. 2.How much water should I use?

A splash is enough. Mr. Lulu however recommends to put a little extra at the beginning. The more water you put the more diluted the product is. Once you know the product, you can play with water dilution and makes it to the strenght that fits your skin.
  3. 3.How quickly should I see results?

Most people see results within a week, when used with a Mr. Lulu Face Oil.
This may depend on your skin's condition, what you have used before and what you use in conjunction.
  4. 4.Can I use Vitamin C in my routine with it?

Yes you can. However this will depend of your skin sensitvity and how often you exfoliate. We suggest asking your licensed skin professional for advice if you are not sure.
  5. 5.Why is preservative-free better?

Preservatives are toxic and irritating ingredients to skin and any human organ. Their molecular weight is small enough to be penetrate thde dermal layers. When you are able to formulate products without them, we allow  the active ingredients to work with no interference. This leads to healthier skin and more visible results.
Read my blog section where you can find resources that give more details on preseravtives, their toxicity and how they unfortunately penetrate skin.
  6. 6.Is the product toxic-free and all-natural?

    Yes of course.
Mr. Lulu knows how to work with natural ingredients in their stable and potent forms.
Many companies add synthetic and toxic ingredients but Mr. Lulu is against them.
  7. 7.How economical is the product?

    Very economical.
Serums of same weight (1oz 30ml) usually provide about 180 uses, or 90 days when used twice a day. The Serum gives you about 250 uses, or 125 days when used twice a day. For a serum at same price, you are making a 50% saving.
  8. 8.Can I use while pregnant?

This product contains Vitamin A and it is best not to use while pregnant or breastfeedling. As replacements to brighten skin, you can use ou Vitamin C Powder Serum, or HA B3 Powder Serums: these are pregnancy-friendly.
  9. 9.Should I be careful with sun exposure?

There is evidence that retinol can make you more sensitive to the sun (increase risks of sunburns). It is important to think of your skin tone, sun exposure, and use of SPF. If you are concerned with seasonal sun exposure, we recommend you use the Retinal Azelaic Powder Serum at night only, or wait for weather with less sun exposure (e.g. Fall/Winter). Our Vitamin C Powder Serum and HAB3 Powder Serum are sun-friendly options that will still brighten skin.
